Garrell Herndon

Bodyworker & Yoga Guy

Hello. I'm Garrell Herndon, Bodyworker and Yoga guy.

As a bodyworker, I practice Dr. Rolf's Structural Integration. I studied at the Guild for Structural Integration in Boulder Colorado in 2004. I first got rolfed in the early 1990s. I was in the yoga teacher training program at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in San Francisco. My general experience of my body was stiff. I mentioned this to the teacher. The teacher suggested getting rolfed. So I did it.

While recieving the 10-series I did lots of yoga. I began to experience a depth, and ease to the poses. Effortless effort was a term I'd heard, and was beginning to experience.

After completing the two-year teacher training program, I went on to teach yoga. And, continued to recieve rolf bodywork sessions outside the orginal 10 sessions. Time and time again, I would have the thought, "I must learn this work".

In 2004 the stars aligned, and off to Boulder I went to study Dr. Rolf's work.

“If you can imagine how it feels to have a fluid, light, balanced body, free of pain, stiffness, and chronic stress, at ease with itself and the earth’s gravitational field, then you understand the goals of Structural Integration”
